Bottom Dwellers and Hurricane Surf Co are bringing a PFI Freediver Course to you in Halifax this Summer!

Location: HALIFAX, NS
Learn from Adam Tory of Hurricane Surf Co. in a small-group environment designed to provide personalized instruction and support throughout your journey. Begin your training with an included self-paced eLearning program, allowing you to build a strong foundation at your own pace before the course begins.
Continue your education with 6 hours of live online academics delivered via Zoom, where you'll work directly with your instructor to develop a comprehensive understanding of freediving theory, safety, physiology, and best practices.
From there, put your knowledge into action through one of our three program options, combining a variety of practical in-water training sessions designed to progressively develop your comfort, confidence, safety, and performance in the underwater environment. Whether you're new to freediving or looking to refine your skills, these programs provide a thorough and supportive introduction to the sport.
PFI Freediver Course:
COST: $780 (Includes 14% HST) (Deposit $390)
Includes PFI Freediver Course and Ted Harty’s “Road Map to Frenzel” ($80 Value) Online Equalization Course

Pool-Only Freediver:

Pool-Freediver+:
COST: $580 (Includes 14% HST) (Deposit $290)
1 Instructor - 6 Student confined water ratio
2 x Online Academic Sesssions, 2 x Confined Water Sessions and 1 Adventure Snorkel (date TBD)
Learn from Adam Tory of Hurricane Surf Co. in small student ratios in one of the most thorough and comprehensive entry level Freediver Programs taught. Start your course early with an included self paced E-learning. Work through 6 hours of Online Academic instruction live with your instructor via Zoom building a strong base of freediving knowledge. Improve and perfect your freediving skillsets through out these programs with practical in-water training.

JUL 25: CW1 & CW2 8:30AM-12PM & 3:30PM-5:45PM @ Zatzman Sportsplex, 110 Wyse Rd.
JUL 26 (PFI FREEDIVER OPEN-WATER SESSIONS): OW1 & OW2 830AM-5PM - Birchy Head Diving Site (Site TBD pending weather)
The Pool-Only Freediver includes both confined water sessions on July 25th but no further in-water practical sessions.
The Pool-Freediver+ includes its own Open-Water adventure and skills snorkel AUG 1 at 10AM
Medical Forms are organized and managed by each student. Once registered students have a duty to support their program by completing their medical form with Doctor’s Stamp and Signature included SHOULD IT BE REQUIRED. If there are any questions regarding the medical form it’s the students’ duty to ask and be on top of it well prior to their course dates. Failure to organize your own medical form prior to your course is not grounds for rescheduling or cancelling your course with Bottom Dwellers.

PFI Freediver E-learning Program: Start your course online before your classroom sessions! Get the most out of your course by coming in with a strong base knowledge before even stepping through the door!
(PFI FREEDIVER PROGRAM ONLY) Ted Harty’s Road Map to Frenzel Program ($80 Value) - Get yourself started with practicing your equalizations before your course to help build that muscle memory before you even get in the water with us.

Classroom and in-water Instruction. Small class ratios.
Course Ratios: (Open water sessions are usually run with a 1 Instructor : 4 Student Ratio)(PFI FREEDIVER PROGRAM ONLY) Open-Water: 2 x 2.5hr sessions / 1 instructor : 6 students max
Confined Water: 2 x 3hr sessions / 1 Instructor: 8 students max
Classroom: 2 x 3 hr Online Academic Sessions / Up to 20 Students. *Zoom Classroom Academic Sessions and your course E-learning are required to be completed to be eligible to get in the water for the practical segment of your course. By registering for this course you are agreeing to be present with your camera on during the classroom settings.

How to Register for a Course: (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
Step 1: Confirm Course Availability.
Step 2: Download, read fully and have a complete understanding of the Waiver/Liability Release and Medical Form.
Step 3: Fill out the Registration form below on this page after referencing the course equipment requirements and medical form links below.
Step 4: Upon receipt of your registration form we will send you an ‘Adobe Sign’ Waiver as acknowledgement of your understanding of the document. When you have a full understanding of the Waiver and Liability release and you consent to its terms you may fill out and complete that agreement.
Step 5: After completing your electronic waiver and liability release acknowledgement via Adobe Sign you will be prompted to Make Payment for your seat for the desired available course with us via e-transfer.
Payments are made to Bottom Dwellers via E-transfer. You will receive an electronic receipt for your payment once received which will be input by us manually through Online Store via ‘Squareup’.
